Automotive HVAC Damper Motor Control

TIDA-00144: TIDA-00144 reference design consists of a 1.6A, dual H-bridge motor driver and a small number of external components that can drive up to two brushed DC motors found in automotive HVAC damper motor applications. This design features off battery capabilities with 45V maximum operating supply voltage. Along with, internal shutdown functions provided for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, under voltage lockout and over temperature.

Automotive Adaptive Front Light Positioning Stepper Motor

TIDA-00146: This TIDA-00146 reference design provides an integrated motor driver solution intended to drive a bipolar stepper motor in an automotive adaptive front light positioning application. This design features off battery capabilities with 45V maximum operating supply voltage. Along with, internal shutdown functions provided for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, undervoltage lockout and overtemperature. This design incorporates the DRV8824EVM board to create the solution.

Automotive Brushed Motor Driver for Power Folding Side Mirrors

TIDA-00145: This TIDA-00145 reference design features the DRV8801EVM which enables a simple to use platform to demonstrate the capabilities and performance of the DRV8801 motor driver for power folding side mirrors. This TI Design is also intended to allow easy evaluation of the automotive qualified version part, DRV8801-Q1. The DRV8801 is a 2.8A peak Full Bridge Brushed DC motor driver capable of driving the retracting function of vehicle side view mirrors. With the built-in automotive protection features of overcurrent, thermal, shoot-through, UVLO protection, and wide input voltage range, this motor driver provides the necessary features to survive the harsh automotive environment. Also, this TI Design provides test data to allow the designer to quickly evaluate the performance of the DRV8801 for their folding wing mirror modules.This design incorporates the DRV8801EVM board to create the solution.

Stepper Motor System with Medium Torque Drive

TIDA-00111: This bipolar stepper motor system implements an MSP430, a DRV8818, and a NEMA 23 motor. It's suitable for applications requiring up to 140 oz-in of torque, and up to 800 RPM. Motor voltage support is 8V to 35V, and max current is 2.5A. A multitude of configuration options allow fine tuning of the current waveform, including the regulated current level, the microstepping applied, H-bridge FET states during current decay, the time interval of current decay, and current deglitch time. The motor drive stage has integrated protection from short-circuit, shoot-through, under-voltage, and over-temperature.
