85-265Vin, 5Vout, 1Aout, AC-DC Fly-Buck Converter Reference Design
PMP10834: The PMP10834RevA reference design is a compact and thermally efficient design intended to step down a wide range of AC inputs (85VAC to 265VAC). This non-isolated Flybuck design incorporates the UCC28C42 PWM with an optocoupler feedback to provide 1% output voltage regulation. All the circuit components (including magnetics) are standard parts.
Synchronization of JESD204B Giga-Sample ADCs using Xilinx Platform for Phased Array Radar Systems
TIDA-00432: This system level design shows how two ADC12J4000 evaluation modules (EVMs) can be synchronized together using a Xilinx VC707 platform. The design document describes the required hardware modifications and device configurations, including the clocking scheme. Example configuration files are shown for each EVM. The FPGA firmware is described and the relevant Xilinx IP block configuration parameters are shown. Data taken on the actual hardware is shown and analyzed, showing synchronization within 50 ps without characterized cables or calibrated propagation delays.
Non-Isolated Synchronous Buck
PMP7882: This is a synchronous buck converter with an input voltage range of 10.8V-to-13.2Vin and provinding an output of 1.2Vout @ 3A.
High-Efficiency Small Form Factor 35W Sync Buck Reference Design
PMP10740: PMP10740 is a single-phase synchronous buck converter rated for 1V output at 35A from an input voltage of 5V. This design uses the LM27403 synchronous buck controller and two CSD87350Q5D power block MOSFETs provide maximum efficiency when combined with a 250nH ferrite output inductor. The design solution uses all ceramic capacitors to fit into a minimum board area.
16-Bit, 1MSPS Multiplexed Data Acquisition Reference Design
TIPD169: This design is for a 16-bit 1MSPS single-ended, multiplexed data acquisition system (DAQ) for dc inputs. The system is composed of a 16-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), SAR ADC driver, reference driver, and multiplexer. The design shows the process to optimize a single-ended DAQ to achieve fast settling at a sampling rate of 1MSPS.
Clocking Solution Reference Design for GSPS ADCs
TIDA-00359: Low cost, high performance clocking solution for GSPS data converters. This reference design discusses the use of a TRF3765, a low noise frequency synthesizer, generating the sampling clock for a 4 GSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC12J4000). Experiments demonstrate data sheet comparable SNR and SFDR performance.
High-Efficiency Small Form Factor 112W Sync Buck Reference Design
PMP10691: PMP10691 is a single-phase synchronous buck converter rated for 3.3V output at 35A from an input voltage of 12V. This design uses the LM27403 synchronous buck controller. Two CSD87350Q5D power block MOSFETs provide maximum efficiency when combined with a 250nH ferrite output inductor. The design solution uses all ceramic capacitors to fit into a minimum board area.
High Power Density Voltage Regulator Module for CPU Core Power in Enterprise Switching
PMP7935: The PMP7935 is a single-phase synchronous buck converter module rated for 0.9V output at 45A from an input voltage of 12V. It is used for CPU core power in an enterprise network switching application. The small 1.1"x0.65" module delivers 90% peak efficiency and is smaller and less costly than equivalent multi-phase designs. This modular solution lends itself well to data center equipment where heat generation is increasingly expensive and a high power density is required.
High-Efficiency Small Form factor 150W Sync Buck Reference Design
PMP8000: PMP8000 is a single-phase synchronous buck converter rated for 5V output at 30A from an input voltage of 12V. This design uses the LM27403 synchronous buck controller and CSD87350Q5D power block MOSFETs provide maximum efficiency when combined with a 250nH ferrite output inductor. The design solution uses all ceramic capacitors to fit into a minimum board area.
30A SIMPLE SWITCHER(R) Power Module with 3 to 14.5V Reference Design with PMBus
PMP9464: The reference design PMP9464 utilizes the LMZ31530, a 30A SIMPLE SWITCHER® Power Module. The LMZ31530 SIMPLE SWITCHER® power module is an easy-to-use integrated power solution that combines a 30-A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passives into a low profile, QFN package. This design has a LM25056 on the front end. The LM25056 combines high performance analog and digital technology with a PMBus compliant SMBus/I2C interface to accurately measure the operating conditions of electrical systems including computing and storage blades connected to a backplane power bus. This allows the user to monitor the real time values of Vin, Iin, Pin and Pout; as well as temperature and peak power. These values are reported via PMBus™/SMBus™/I2C. PMP9464 also enables the user to margin the output voltage setting, by slewing it up or down. This is done with the LM10011 VID programmable current DAC. The LP2951 supplies a 3.3V rail for the LM3881 power sequencer. The LM3881 sequencer can be used for sequencing other off board power supplies.
