5V input; 6 Phase High Efficiency Synchronous Buck; 0.9V 120A output
PMP6845: The PMP6845 reference design uses three TPS40140's to control 6 Synchronous Buck Phases. Main switch pair for each phase is the dual CSD86350Q5D. The optional added CSD16325Q5 for the low side enhances efficiency, especially at full load. Efficiency is 87.5% at full load and over 90% for loads from 20 thru 80A. Electrical and Thermal test results shown for both with and without the added CSD16325Q5. An on board dynamic load allows rapid load transients to be tested.
1/8 Brick Isolated DC/DC Telecom Power Module Based on UCD3138 Digital Control Reference Design
PMP8877: PMP8877 is a full-function 1/8th brick isolated DC/DC telecom power module based on the UCD3138 digital power controller. The reference design features secondary side control and hard switching full bridge power topology to deliver 12V/180W of output power operating across a wide range 36V-72V input source. The highlights of the reference design include 94% peak efficiency, fast input voltage feedforward response to input voltage surges, constant current/constant power overload protection, pre-bias start-up, current sharing control for paralleled module applications and PMBUS support for communication with peer controllers. The bias supply block employs the UCC25230, while the gate drivers used in this design include UCC27524 for driving the SR MOSFETs and UCC27211 for driving the primary side Half-Bridge MOSFETs. Other components include the ISO7240 for sending signals across the isolation barrier.
High Efficiency Synchronous Flyback with 36-72Vin to 5Vout@2A Reference Design
PMP8917: PMP8917 has been designed as a competitive open-frame alternative for the communications market with 36-72Vin to 5V/2A. The product is supplied in the industry standard footprint of 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.394 inches. PMP8917 has a basic insulation system from input to output making it suitable for a wide variety of applications. LM5020 is used as synchronous Flyback converter controller for PMP8917 with 92.9% converter efficiency.
Direct Down-Conversion System with I/Q Correction
TIDA-00078: The I/Q Correction block implemented in the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) of the TSW6011EVM helps users to adopt a direct down conversion receiver architecture in a wireless system. The I/Q correction block consists of a single-tap blind algorithm, which corrects the frequency-independent I/Q imbalance in a complex zero-IF receiver system. Along with the I/Q correction block, the FPGA includes a digital gain block, a digital power-measurement block, x2 of interpolation block, an I/Q offset correction block, and a quadrature mixing block.
Power for Altera Cyclone V (Cyclone 5) FPGA (2.5V@3.5A)
PMP8571.1: PMP8571.1 is an easy to use power solution designed using integrated inductor power modules for Altera’s Cyclone 5 FPGA. This design used TPS84621 and TPS84320 along with TPS51200 to generate 5 rails to power the FPGA.
